Indian spiced lamb, or Kheema Bhurjee. We’ve got a new range of Mutton in so we wanted to try a recipe that had as much punchy flavour added to it to see if the mutton could stand up to it. And it did. This was spicy, aromatic and delicious. Scooped up with a paratha and cut through with fresh limes, there wasn’t one gram of leftovers left!

@herdmarket This is Episode 2 of Herd Office Lunches. We’re already almost out of mutton on our first day! But if you want to try this recipe, our lamb mince would also be perfect! #indianrecipe #mutton #lambrecipe #easy #comfortfood #homecooked ♬ original sound - Herd Market
Directions
1.

Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, then fry the onion, garlic, ginger, and chilli until the onions turn soft and jammy. Stir in the spices and let them cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Turn up the heat and add the chopped tomatoes and mutton mince, browning it well. Add 200ml of water, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-20 minutes until the mixture thickens.

2.

Add chopped mint and lime juice, then finish with the peas, fresh coriander and salt to taste, stir-frying for another 3 minutes. Serve with another garnish of fresh coriander and warm parathas.
