Still the most popular cut off the chicken, it is absurd to take the skin off when it is the source of 75% of the flavour. Of course, you are free to do this at your leisure, but to get the most out of Will's Sutton Hoo breasts, pan fry them on the skin side with buckets of herbs before turning the heat down to cook the meat nice and slow. This will deliver you a rich, tender breast with a gorgeous crispy skin - blending flavors and textures all day long.

When you read the term ‘free range’ on a pack of supermarket chicken, you’re led to imagine this agricultural utopia, where hens run through meadows like Theresa May galloping through fields of wheat. Sadly, the reality is that almost none of these chickens would ever describe their environment as ‘free’. Cooped in enormous static sheds the size of half a football pitch - most will never step out of the barn, nor see sunlight at any point in their lives. Another magnificent effort of food labelling pulling wool over all our eyes. However, there is hope and it comes in the form of Will Waterer and Belinda Nash at Sutton Hoo. Operating on a 40 acre site on the East Coast of Suffolk, their farming method really does live up to that expectation we all have of ‘Free Range’. With every chicken grown slowly, these beautiful birds put on muscle naturally while having the opportunity to graze on the vast pasture. Short of the feed and access to water, there is not a single input into the process. No electricity. No antibiotics. Just chickens growing as they should and tasting as incredible as nature intended.

Freezer Life

All of our meat and seafood can be kept in the freezer for at least 6 months, but refer to the best before date on each pack.

Storage & Use

We deliver all our meat frozen ready for you to put straight into the freezer. If any of your meat has thawed slightly during transportation it is completely safe to pop straight into your freezer.

When coming to cook your meat, defrost thoroughly and use within 4 days. Cook your fish within 2 days.

Suitable for oven cooking. Times may vary depending on oven. Ensure meat is thoroughly cooked before serving.
