Dorset Pastry's pastry is lauded by some of the country's leading chefs. The company gained three of the top Great Taste awards in 2023 for their Premium fine puff pastry, Organic fine puff pastry and Premium shortcrust pastry. The judges declared the puff pastry to be ‘a feather-light pastry that crumbles; indeed, almost melts in the mouth and leaves a rich, buttery taste that quietly subsides on a long finish.’
Dorset Pastry is a family-run business founded by Moira Blake in 2001 who saw a gap in the market after searching for high quality, all-butter puff pastry and finding none on shelves. The pastry is hand folded and rested in the traditional way in order to maintain the highest quality. Dorset Pastry does not contain any stabilisers, enhancers or other additives commonly used in mass production.
